The short version
This is a brochure website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and has no accounts or logins. The only personal information we hold from this site is what you choose to type into the contact form and send us.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write in your message — including anything you tell us about a gathering you are planning.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these to build a profile of you.

What we do with it
We use what you send us to answer you, and to carry on the conversation you started. That is all. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us.
Who else sees it
The people at WAKAN who need to answer you, and the service providers who carry the message — our email provider and, once it is connected, whoever handles form submissions. They act on our instructions and for no other purpose.

How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we remember what was said if you come back to us. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@wakan.org and we will answer. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local data protection law; we will honour those.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this site starts doing something new — analytics, a newsletter, online giving — we will update this page before that goes live, and change the date at the top.
